Bob plans on staying here in North Platte. Wants to do some traveling with his wife and complete his "honey do" list.
Other Comments:
Bob hired on as a journeyman in March, 2004 at Denver with IBEW local 68. Union Pacific asked him to transfer to North Platte after the closing of the Denver shop in February of 2016. At that time Bob and his wife decided to move here to call North Platte his home.

Roger was a Radio Mechanic in the Army. He received his Associates degree in Electronics Technology at MPCC in 1978. A message from Roger: "I really enjoyed being a peer trainer. Sharing information with my brother and sister electricians. Taking apprentices from the beginning and watch them grow and surpass me in ability to troubleshoot locomotives. Locomotives today are a very complex machine but there's a lot of talent out there. I think, given the opportunity, there's nothing you guys can't fix."

While working in the Engineering Department for Union Pacific. Roy travelled all over the nation working on traffic controls, crossing electronics, communications and even retarders. After many years of travelling he decided to move to Sutherland and work for Union Pacific here in North Platte, Nebraska.

He is also looking into volunteering for the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary station located locally in Alpena, MI.

Mel says "I'll miss the area and the guys, and am looking forward to retirement."

Shermie has been playing piano since he was 8 years old.
He studied piano under Mrs. Florence Gustafson of Kansas City, Kansas
who performed with Liberace at music workshops throughout the US.
